Chance Peña announces Australian headline shows this December

MELBOURNE, AU (August 21, 2025) – Born & raised in East Texas, Chance Peña has announced his debut Australian headline tour “When I Change My Mind I Don’t Mean It” for this December, to celebrate his upcoming album to be released August 29. Known for his deeply personal storytelling and raw lyricism, his 2023 breakthrough single “i am not who i was” surpassed 400 million streams worldwide, and he continues to cement himself as one of indie’s most captivating rising artists.

The tour kicks off at Prince Bandroom in Melbourne on Tuesday, 9 December, followed by Liberty Hall in Sydney on Thursday, 11 December, and closing at The Triffid in Brisbane on Monday, 15 December. He will also be performing at all Spilt Milk Festival dates.

ABOUT CHANCE PEÑA

Born and raised in East Texas, Chance Peña is a 25-year-old artist, songwriter, and producer whose music bridges traditional storytelling with modern sonic influences. He began writing professionally at just 17 after signing with Secret Road Music Publishing, quickly gaining traction in the industry.

In 2020, he landed his first major label cut and a Grammy nomination for co-writing “Conversations in the Dark” with John Legend, the lead single from Legend’s Grammy-winning album Bigger Love. Since then, Chance has steadily carved out a dedicated following through introspective songwriting and emotionally rich soundscapes that channel themes of growth, longing, and self-discovery. His 2023 breakthrough single, “i am not who i was,” earned over 400 million global streams and charted on Billboard’s Hot Alternative and Hot Rock lists, firmly establishing him as one of indie music’s most compelling emerging voices.

Chance has now released a prolific body of work, including three EPs, numerous singles, and his full-length debut album, Ever-shifting, Continual Blossoming. In 2025, Chance has been working on his upcoming album, When I Change My Mind, I Don’t Mean It, which will be released August 29. Later this year, Chance will be touring with The Lumineers, Tom O’Dell and headlining in Australia + playing Spilt Milk Festival.
